Ubigrid-rg is a new initiative that is currently seeking ratification from the Global Grid Forum.
The goal of this research group is to investigate the use of Grid technologies to support experiments in, and development and deployment of, ubiquitous computing systems.
| In October 2003 we have been presenting our initial ideas during a Birds-of-a-Feather (BOF) session at GGF9 in Chicago. Following the valuable feedback we have received during that session, we are currently in the process of refining our proposed charter. We are also searching for fellow researchers willing to participate in this exciting activity. So please don't hesitate to contact us using the address below. | |
| A second BOF followed on Thursday 11th March 2004 at GGF10 in Berlin. | During GGF11 in Honolulu, we ran an ad-hoc meeting. Minutes and additional material presented during this meeting are available. |
